I have received an update from the fine folks at Digital Webbing! Read up true believers:
Hi, Rome!
Just wanted to touch base and let you know Digital Webbing will be publishing a new issue of E-Man in October. The book will be solicited in the August edition of Previews.
We had hoped to get a new issue out during the first half of the year (within 6 months of the last one) but it just didn't work out.
So, for the third straight year, we'll be putting out a new E-Man comic in the Fall!

I got to communicate with my pal Mike Ambrose about how he got to publish this never before seen story. Here's the story:
"The way I got to publish the story relates back to the new issues that Joe and Nick are doing for DW, and actually all the way back to the Pro2Pro interview I did with them for Back Issue #13.
In that interview, as you surely recall, Nick said they'd happily do new E-Man stories if anybody wanted to publish them. Enter DW, with so-far fabulous results. Later in the interview, in a part that didn't make it into print, Joe revealed that he had a complete 22-page E-Man story that was supposed to have been the third Alpha issue--pencils and inks done, but no letters, and Nick had lost the script in his move from California to Florida. So he and Nick offered to recreate the story if I could get it lettered, which they proceeded to do. I then turned to ex-Charlton good guy Bill Pearson to get the new script lettered.
Sometime after that, Joe said he also had in his files a nearly finished 11-page Mauser story from the Charlton era--mostly penciled, all lettered, but nothing inked. He suggested that he also finish that story out and then do a new cover and then we'd have a special E-Man and Mauser issue of Spotlight. So that's how this all came about."
